First Round Performance Order and Schedule Published
The performance order for the First Round of the XIII International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition was determined by a draw held on the evening of Saturday, May 17, during the opening event for the competitors at Ainola (Jean Sibelius’s home). The competition begins on Monday, May 19. The first competitor to perform is number 9, Adrian Ibañez-Resjan, after which performances will proceed in numerical order. The updated schedule for the First Round is now available on the competition website.

First Round performance order drawn at Ainola, Jean Sibelius’s home, during competitors’ opening event

The performance order for the First Round of the XIII International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition was determined by a draw held on the evening of Saturday, May 17, during the opening event for the competitors at Ainola (Jean Sibelius’s home).

The competition begins on Monday, May 19. The first competitor to perform is number 9, Adrian Ibañez-Resjan, after which performances will proceed in numerical order.

In the first round, each competitor has 30 minutes of performance time.

The updated schedule for the First Round is now available on the competition website.

A total of 40 young violinists from around the world are participating in the XIII International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition. Before the draw, the competitors planted an apple tree in the garden of Ainola.

The competitors’ numbers (1–42) will remain the same throughout the competition. Competitors number 11 and 22 have withdrawn, and these numbers will not appear in the performance order.
