Born in 1995 in Jeonju, South Korea, Minchae Kim enrolled at the New England Conservatory in 2012 as a student of Miriam Fried and later under the tutelage of Donald Weilerstein and Soovin Kim. After receiving her Master’s Degree and Graduate Diploma, she continued her studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received her Artist Diploma with Jaime Laredo in 2023.

Minchae is currently continuing her professional studies at the CIM with Malcolm Lowe and Stephen Rose. Minchae has been successful in American and European violin competitions.
