Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are sold on the Musiikkitalo website, at the Musiikkitalo ticket sales desk, and through the Musiikkitalo ticket sales phone service.
Helsinki Music Centre Ticket Desk
Mannerheimintie 13a, 00100 Helsinki
The ticket desk is located in the main lobby of the Helsinki Music Centre, opposite the cloakroom.
It is open one hour before concerts, and on weekdays from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Sibelius Academy, R Building Ticket Desk
Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 9, Helsinki
The first and second rounds of the Sibelius Violin Competition will take place in the concert hall of the Sibelius Academy’s R Building on 19–21 May and 23–25 May. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door on competition days. If tickets are still available, door sales begin one hour before the concert and end after the first intermission.

Ticket Prices
- All ticket prices include a service fee and a cloakroom charge.
- Discounted tickets are available for students, pensioners, children (aged 12 and under), conscripts/civil service personnel, and unemployed persons.
- Wheelchair assistants are admitted free of charge.
- Series tickets are available for all rounds. See details below.

Series Tickets
Series tickets offer a convenient way to follow all stages of the competition and the progress of the competitors.
With a series ticket, you get all concert tickets for a round at 20% off the regular price.
There are six concerts in the first round (19–21 May), six in the second round (23–25 May), and three final concerts (27–29 May 2025).
The 20% discount is applied automatically when you add all concerts of a round to your shopping cart.

Complimentary Tickets for Professional Music Students for the First and Second Rounds
The Competition offers free tickets to professional music students for the first and second rounds of the XIII International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition.
Free ticket seats are located on the second balcony of the concert hall (Sibelius Academy’s R-building).
Additionally, the string instrument teachers at the Sibelius Academy are entitled to complimentary tickets.
Tickets for all Sibelius Academy students available from May 12
Free tickets for Sibelius Academy students for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the competition will be available from Monday, May 12, 2025.
Tickets for all professional music students from May 14
Free tickets for professional music students from any educational institution for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the competition are available from Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Free tickets for the first round must be claimed by 18 May 2025 and for the second round by 22 May 2025.
Please note that availability is limited and tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important notice about instrument cases:
To ensure optimal conditions for each competitor and to avoid unnecessary noise from falling cases, instrument cases — including violin cases — are not allowed in the audience area. Please leave your instrument cases at home. Thank you for your understanding!
