Special Event “Stradivari and Friends” on May 26 Sheds Light on the Secrets of Fine Violins
The audience now has a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of fine violins together with representatives of Beare’s, a London-based partner of the Sibelius Violin Competition. The event Stradivari and Friends will take place on Monday, May 26 from 2 PM to 3 PM at the Auditorium of the Helsinki Music Centre.
The audience will get to hear how these rare instruments sound in the hands of violinists Jinjoo Cho and Petteri Iivonen. The event is free of charge.

Beare’s, a partner of the Sibelius Violin Competition, is one of the world’s most esteemed experts and dealers of fine string instruments. With over 125 years of experience, the company also provides the valuable violin awarded on loan to one of the competition’s prizewinners.
The Stradivari and Friends event will take place on Monday, May 26 from 2 PM to 3 PM in the Auditorium of the Helsinki Music Centre (entrance via the Lower Foyer).
The event will be held in English and interpreted into Finnish. The audience will hear the unique sound of fine violins performed by Jinjoo Cho and Petteri Iivonen. Admission is free.
